New Patients to Now Care Dental

Our Mission

Your chief complaint or immediate need is our number one concern. The Now Care Dental team will do everything in our power to relieve your discomfort by providing care NOW. The hardest part of any dental appointment can be walking in the front door. We realize that dentist not the favorite place to be and that you wouldn't be here if you didn't have a toothache other dental needs. Rest assured that we will make the process as smooth as possible once you arrive.

First Appointment

Your appointment will begin with our digital registration process. If you are uneasy about using a computer, we do have paper forms on hand as well. We will gather your insurance information and do a courtesy benefits check if your insurance company is available to take our call. This verification allows us to collect your copay portion for each service we perform to diagnose and treat your urgent dental problem rather than the full price. Although you may have a very good idea of what you need to have done, The Minnesota Board of Dentistry requires our doctors to determine their own diagnosis of your problem and provide you with treatment options. To do this, the dentist treating you will perform a clinical exam where they look in your mouth directly. This exam is called a Limited Exam and the fee is $102.00. A clinical exam only shows what is visible to the eye and will not necessarily show infection in the bone or damage below the gum-line and between your teeth. For this reason, an X-Ray exam will also be performed. The fee for the X-Ray exam starts at $40.80 for an individual tooth and goes up, depending on your individual circumstances. Wisdom tooth pain requires a special X-Ray exam called a Panorex. The fee for this exam is $155.00 in addition to the limited exam. In short, to diagnose an individual tooth problem, your initial cost without insurance starts at $142.80. To diagnose a wisdom tooth problem, your initial cost without insurance starts at $257.00.

We are glad you found Now Care Dental and we look forward to meeting you when you come for your first appointment. Do not hesitate to call us at (651) 686-6800 if you need further information or are ready to schedule an appointment.

Infection Control

Infection controls and universal precautions protect clients and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control—you, your dentist, and the dental team. The cornerstone in a good and safe dental practice is the element of trust. You should feel free to discuss this topic with one of our dentists and receive a straightforward answer.

Our doctors and team follow procedures recommended by several federal agencies: the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

These measures include:

  • Disinfectant hand soap
  • Gloves and face masks
  • Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
  • Sterilization of all equipment before every use
  • Disposable materials

We sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces. We use an autoclave, a device that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure.

The best defense against disease is information. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make wise decisions about your health care. The more you know about our daily procedures and policies, the more comfortable you will feel.
